A slow brew of pre-war blues, jazz, jug, and gospel, distilled through the mind of a true Southern Brewmaster, where the bottle meets the string.

Combining a propensity for 80’s gothic rock such as The Cult and TSOL, along with an art punk aesthetic borrowed from bands like Gang of Four and Dead Kennedys, The Voltage Drop is a project formed in late 2013 by Lafayette, LA musician Eugene Swank (The Deads, The Eugene Swank Atomic Honky Tonk) and Houston locals Ken Shoen (The Kimonos, Neutronic) and Josh Barry (Jealous Creatures, Japanic).  Excessive Voltage Drop may result in unsatisfactory operation of, and damage to, electrical and electronic equipment.
