This track didn't quite make it on to my LP. Many of the sounds from this track came from Marsh's Free Museum. There are lots of old coin-operated mechanical machines there that make incredible noises. The song is named after the mechanical nightingale diorama there that makes a mechanical bird sing when you put in a nickel.

Wave Collector is the electronic music project of Neal Wright. Collecting samples from nature, travels, and everyday life, Wave Collector creates textured sonic compositions.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Chrome Sparks, Gold Panda, Flying Lotus, Machinedrum, Boards of Canada, Teebs, and Shigeto, Wave Collector tells a story with every track, letting the source and circumstance of the field-recorded samples inform the composition. A long-time turntablist, Wave Collector also uses a turntable and mixer for scratching and sample manipulation during live shows.
