Duke Maroon bends genres and glorifies a unique vision of what auditory expression should be.

A multi-faceted company, Sandbox Music Productions LLC was created in 2012 to bring awareness of the incredible talents of local musicians and songwriters to a wider audience, and to help train the next generation of musicians. Look for many new releases from our young songwriters this year, plus the release of The Jesse James Sims Anthology, the story of the greatest '50's-era Philly songwriter  you never heard.

We also provide individualized Music Therapy services for all ages, from preschool on and including geriatric music therapy services and programs. We are dedicated to the development of the local Philly music scene with a focus on providing an outlet for our tremendous young talent.

Our services include:

 -Recording and studio production services; live recording services 
 -Live event production and promotion
 -Publishing services through our ASCAP affiliated publishing arm Box Of Sand Music Productions and our BMI-affiliated arm Playing In The Sandbox Publishing including artist  development and promotion
 -Music Therapy services from our MT-BC Music Therapist
 -Instrumental and vocal instruction

Funky Americana roots rock from Philly.
The bandʼs diverse sound draws from a wide variety of influences of the members, from shades of groups like Pearl Jam to the Grateful Dead to Gaslight Anthem to Pink Floyd, and all points in between. Together, they form a melodic sound filled with soaring harmonies, compact jams, raucous blues romps, power-pop ballads and more – everything needed to get the crowd moving.

Playing live is a core tenet of the groupʼs ethos. Based in Philadelphia, The Wayside Shakeup has played some of their home regionʼs most popular rooms, including World Café Live, the Trocodero Theatre, longtime indie-rock venue The Legendary Dobbs, Ardmore Music Hall, as well as a number of outdoor festivals and events.
