In the time they've been together The Whiskys (formerly The Whisky River Band) have carved themselves a niche in the Highlands for consistently strong performances that bring an ever-loyal crowd along for the ride.
Built on a solid base of driving guitar and beats, the five-piece from Inverness hail from Folk Rock roots, but their influences and sound add up to much more than the sum of their parts to offer a genuinely exciting experience for music lovers who like a party but aren't averse to using their grey matter.
The band have played at, and packed out tents at mainstream festivals such as the Wickerman, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, Rockness, Jocktoberfest, Brew at the Bog, B-Fest in Wick (Scotlands most Northerly Festival), (Scottish music industry showcase event) goNORTH, the IPO Festival in Liverpool (which included a set at the Cavern Club), as well as high profile support slots with acts such as Alabama 3, Admiral Fallow, Big Country and Dog is Dead, earning rave reviews in the process.
Their acclaimed first album ‘The Taming of Me’ has won plaudits from far and wide, and their eagerly-awaited second album is currently being recorded.
Whether singing about love, riots, the dysfunctional modern family, or the general confusion of modern society, the Whiskys' delight in shining a light on the windows of our lives with a blend of clever lyrics and hooks which pull you in - and in time-honoured cliche - leave you thirsty for more.

MS&TBT are the latest product from a thriving West Lothian music scene.

The five-piece are well known for their energetic live show and have SOLD OUT every single headline gig to date, including King Tuts & G2 in Glasgow – upgraded due to ‘phenomenal demand’ after The Attic sold out in less than five hours – and a host of other venues across the country.

Festival slots have included TRNSMT, Tenement Trail & EH6 whilst the band have enjoyed supporting The Snuts & The View frontman Kyle Falconer. Summer 2019 saw MS&TBT headline the second stage at Party at the Palace, before performing to more than 10,000 people over two nights at Edinburgh Summer Sessions, with Lewis Capaldi.

Their latest EP, ‘MS&TBT’ is the strongest yet, and features single ‘Tippy Toes’ - already their most streamed track. They continue to build an army of followers, with an increasing demand for live shows throughout the UK.

The band closed 2019 with a SOLD OUT Glasgow show at the 600-capacity Saint Luke’s before being named in Jim Gellatly’s 10 for 2020.
