Starting a fun little mix series based on some of the different styles of dubstep, to start I mixed some of my favorite tunes that heavily feature influences from The Middle East, India, & Asia. Loads of stringed instruments and flutes riding over heavy bassweight. I put this mix together to show my appreciation for the diverse range of influences all over dubstep & its artists. Much respect & love.

I will probably be doing a few more episodes with Melodic, Dubwise, Old School, Heavyweight, & Sinister styles. Definitely keep an eye out for the next one :)

Originating from Ringwood, NJ, CHAWKTAW came up in the warehouses and basements of the Tristate area, pushing bass weight and circulating love in the 140 scene. With over a decade under his belt honing his talents as a musician, CHAWKTAW's efforts have resulted in a singular take on dubstep: a sound with an effortless groove, bubbling with energy. 
His influences range from punk to chiptune, hardcore to dub, and everything in between. CHAWKTAW’s compositions are filled with cosmic atmospheres and sentient wobbles, driven by a powerhouse of hefty bottom end. He strives to make listeners smile and, if they feel it, boogie a little.
