The World State is the name of the danish composer Leif Nielsen´s (ex. January Jaunt) dream music-project. 

Brewed on his high ambitions and a life-long worship of weird old movie-soundtracks, rock, metal and classical music, he has succeeded in getting his ideas 
of music as it should be, down on the tracks.

In 2009 he began the writing process, and to sought out the right line-up of musicians for the first release under the banner of The World State.

This has now resulted in two Ep´s: "FLIER" being the first, and the second “Traced through Dust and Time” to be released late 2013.

HOW TO EXPLAIN THE WORLD STATE WITH JUST A FEW PHRASES?

Well… if you can picture the immaculate voice of Monika Pedersen (ex. Sirenia) standing as a lighthouse to guide you through the dynamic and truly melancholic soundscapes that without a care in the world skips from the heaviest rock´n´roll drumbeats to the fastest death-metal blastbeats, only for the next song to be led by an organ/piano or the most beautiful chorus and string-sections that would make even Ennio Morricone weep, then you might have an idea!
