CORPSEWAVE 2022 - CHAPTER I - ACANTHUS

Exquisite Corpse is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person contributed.

Introducing a new concept: A Musical Exquisite Corpse. Based on the classical Exquisite Corpse idea, 15 incredibly talented artists from the Worldwave Discord community came together to collaborate on the second project in the series.

Each artist, in a randomly-arranged list, was tasked to create up to 16 bars in a timespan of 4 days, based ONLY on the 2 last bars of what the previous artist created, never hearing the full composition. Then, the last 2 bars of their creation were sent forward to the next artist in line. No artist (except for me, the first prompt) was exposed to anything in the composition except their predecessor's prompts, until the moment of this release!

The Acanthus flower symbolizes long life, immortality, rebirth, and the collaborative nature of humankind. We felt like it's a super relevant title for this Corpsewave.

Previously Ember in hAnds. I don't understand a lot of things yet. I'm not good at socializing, or acting like expected from others. I keep strumbling on principles that I missed, or on ideas that I should have. 

Yet, I got one thing. The reality is sometimes not what you might expect from it. 

This is why Ember in hAnds exists. When you can't understand the others, you can try to make them understand how you feel.
