Born in Philadelphia, Pa, J.L. Bentley gravitated to hip-hop growing up listening to The Legendary Roots crew, The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, and Nas. His music is very lyric driven and his word play is second to none. He's a writer who has written for others, a poet, an above all, an artist.
