Who writes for the poet who has bled out?
Who refills them with rhythm when the blues bounce off the walls of their hollowed hearts?
Will anybody cry for the crier?
Will anybody live for the dyer when the dyer is in dire…
Need of a survival kit?
Who will rescue and put back together the writer
Who has penned themself apart…
And has revived skeletons for the sake of art?
Where’s the sacrifice made for the one who laid their sanity on the lines…
To be picked at, scrutinized, and ridiculed?
Who writes for the poet who writes for everybody else?
Who will scribble love notes on that broken vessel…
Who constantly wrestles with demons and doesn’t know if angels exist?
Will anybody pick up the pieces after the peace is breached in releases?
Won’t somebody save and mend…
The one who has fallen onto the pen…
And is dying a death by an excessive spill of ink?
Who will breathe life back into her… after he… has given everything?
