Yama Music returns this April with its fifth release, entitled ‘The Shin’yuu Various Artist’ EP and featuring material from Birdsmakingmachine, Locïc & Dan Formless, TIJN and of course Yama Music themselves.

Here the label steps out of it’s usual format and welcomes an array of other talents onto its roster. First up to the plate is Barcelona’s Birdsmakingmachine who delivers ‘Moorbeet’, a chunky house cut fuelled by bumpy, shuffled drums, a choppy bass hook and winding, hypnotic synth work. Locïc & Dan Formless follow next with ‘No Laughin Matter’, retaining a similar aesthetic via a dusty, swinging drum groove and gritty bass running alongside airy dub chords, modulating synth effects and trippy spoken word vocals.

Yama Music open the flip-side with ‘Back Where You Belong’, stripping things back rhythmically and shining light on the duos innate ability to sculpt intricately intertwining synths, dreamy soundscapes and a dynamic feel. TIJN’s ‘Nikkee’ then closes the package, fusing bright ethereal stab sequences and rounded subs with skippy hats and organic drums.

Super Venus is a French/German deejay and graphic designer living in Berlin and floating in the musical field of downtempo, breakbeats, spacy techno and off-centered progressive house. She will play on Tuesday night 30th of April at the 7 Years Basic Moves party in Funke Ghent but will pass by before to Kiosk radio to bring a special set dedicated to a sound very close to Super Venus heart: dub music. Cahl Sel is a producer, live performer and DJ based in his hometown, San Francisco.
Performing live on his minimal hardware rig, Cahl Sel’s beat driven but melody led sound ushers in a new era of West Coast experimentation. 

His first release, ‘Every Moment’ EP reopened the Reflective Records catalog in 2022, drawing attention from London’s Phonica Records “Best of 2022: Singles” and Mixmag's “12 Emerging Artists You Need To Hear: September 2022".

In addition to his solo performances and DJ'ing, he frequently shares the stage with his father, Jonah Sharp, both in collaboration and under the Spacetime Continuum live act.

カール・セルは、サンフランシスコを拠点に活動するプロデューサー、ライブパフォーマー、DJです。
ミニマルなハードウェアリグを駆使してライブパフォーマンスを行い、ビート重視ながらもメロディを中心とした彼のサウンドは、西海岸の実験音楽の新たな時代を切り開いています。
