Behind the decks, they deliver a combination of multiple genres, usually focused on heavy bass and breaks, bouncy rhythms, liquid sounds and glitchy elements. As part of @mjutme they also had the chance to discover different approaches of creating an atmosphere through music. And as part of substituierbar sophiise try to add their own understanding of that to Leipzig. Enjoy this episode showcasing a few different facets of their taste in music.

Reptoid Radio 031 // DJ Aiim

Originating from 10 years of mixing together, Walter Perlitz @walterperlitz and ileyf @ileyf play very diverse and carefully selected sets while also producing their own tracks. As their duo project China Shipping Line @chinashippingline, last year they released their first EP on Lyon based label Jade @jadelabel. Born and raised in Weimar, they soon moved to Halle and began to organize parties in and around Saale City, which naturally led to their own event series HD1A at local club Charles Bronson in 2018.

Kaya, nowadays based in Leipzig, started experimenting with music in Freiburg im Breisgau, where she also found, next to others, her first collective @impuls_crew. She started to raise music event series, which aimed to bring people with same taste in experimental dance music together.

Her soundscapes evolved, so today she moves between Garage, Footwork, UK Bass, Breaks, Brazilian Funk and Two Step Rhythms, always inquisitive about the background of the music she loves. In Leipzig she is often seen behind the decks next to her close friend @kimszen, who she shares the passion for mixing up different styles with.
