Groove Curse takes an evolved turn, with a sound Rakei describes as “raw, vocal-driven, groove”. With the first single off the EP, Street Light featuring Berklee College of Music Alumni, Gwen Bunn (vocalist and producer of Schoolboy Q’s Collard Greens feat. Kendrick Lamar), the release celebrates the skills of upcoming young musicians who are writing, self-producing and taking full advantage of their vocal and multi-instrumentalist talents.

UK pianist and singer Reuben James today releases So Cool, the second single from his forthcoming EP Slow Down. So Cool is an exquisitely chilled, jazz-inflected R&B jam that showcases James’ innate knack of combining compelling storytelling with catchy hooks. 
So Cool follows the release last month of the EP’s lead single My Line, which featured guest spots for vocalist and producer Col3trane, East-London rapper Jay Prince, Quincy Jones collaborator Vula, and jazz trailblazer Soweto Kinch.
