Doomsday is the first of several pieces written during the pandemic.

Last October we were lucky enough to be given the use of an old church in Derbyshire to record in.  We spent an amazing few days together and started recording some of our ideas with a view to record more in November and December, but the further lockdowns meant this was not possible. Instead we've been recording and mixing in our home studios, which is a much slower process, but we've finally completed our first track.

We are hoping that if enough of you like it and want to hear more then we will plan more recording sessions as lockdown restrictions are lifted over the coming months.

If enough people are willing to make a small donation towards the cost of producing a full album we hope to be able to release one later this year.

Doomsday

Carpenters were an American vocal and instrumental duo, consisting of siblings Karen and Richard Carpenter. Several of their songs have achieved the status of popular standards. "Superstar" has been covered by numerous artists, with popular recordings from Luther Vandross and Ruben Studdard to Bette Midler. "Superstar" became its biggest hit version for the Carpenters.
