Colchester based underground imprint South East Taste makes its second outing with Sssay Sonny. Billy Waterworth and Ollie Drummond butt heads and become one for their 1st release as Ol' Bill, with Ollie on B-side duty. 

'Say Sonny' is a charged electro workout with thundering bass, and sound design in buckets. The more stripped down 'SSSsss' takes us on a trip through moods over a playful chunky garage groove, sure to surprise you as it twists.

Ollie Drummond is a London based DJ and producer and part of Marbles. Ollie's unique slick production sound has already found favour on impressive underground imprints including Wiggle, Miriam, Evasive Records, Right Nut Records, and Household Digital. Billy Waterworth is a multi disciplinary artist and regular DJ at nights like Bobbleland, he makes his production debut on South East Taste records.

EBM has seen better days...DAF's wannabee inheritors have continuously drained the genre's legacy of its substance in waves of over simplification and risible first degree. As standards are reproduced endlessly the appeal of "EBM" labelled music wears thin. It takes a name like Gérard Jugno 106 to give the sleeping beast a much welcome pinch.
Let's clear something right off the bat. Dall'Aglio is no rookie to the game : founder of the Dada minded and hyperactive Linge Records Imprint, the man from Montpellier's been active under many aliases releasing a continuous stream of confronting, off kilter, bouncy, infectious, and also mostly confidential, jams. None however matches the sharpness of his latest, the world conquering "Grand Korg Malade". On this one Dall'Aglio's love for the darker end of electronic music meets his absurd playfulness and sense of tease in a radiant result.
While the jump would be perilous to many, Dall Aglio's years of dada raves hosting have turned him in a true tumbler, a juggling influences in impossible positions to a fascinating result. Through a deluge of sonic collages and beats deliriously hammering in delicious AFX fashion, the tracks read like a matrioshka set of references delivered in ed Bangerlike unbridled strokes. Such a sense of spontaneity and devotion make in turn for a record of rare precision turning the sense of fun into a serious and hallucinating art.

Exclusive: Matisa - I Need A Bit Of Poetry

Hailing from Florence cosmic producer Matisa only has few but quite sophisticated releases in her discography. Before taking you elsewhere the artists started her musical output on Optimo with her two tracker Organza until coming together with a bunch of other artists on Butter Sessions. Now the former Roman releases her first EP on DC Salas' and Abstraxion's Biologic Records, which simply goes by the name of The Elsewhere and portrays different episodes of a night (out). The EP jumpstarts with I Need A Bit Of Poetry, which is the most housey take of the three tracker. As the tracks kicks of with a  simple bass line and clap, which is accompanied by a single atmosphere bringing synth, the track develops to a multi-layered House-anthem, including diverse tonal variations creating a rather profound musical piece that has, as the track title suggests, a poetic handwriting and leaves the listener with her Romans-tic approach: a classic beauty. 

Matisa's EP The Elsewhere will be released on Biologic Records on June 12th, 2020.

MM Discos kicks off this year with the newcomer producer and Naples' best kept secret "A Beat Disciple". The Italian producer delivers "Hot Naples" an extended Ep where deeper sounds will be the main character of the story. A.B.D aka Mario Venditti found his path on his productions after listening to a bunch of records that featured artists like Masters at Work and Dj Gregory among others, taking from that moment on tribal house as main influence. With the years, Mario has developed his own personal style by getting closer to other genres like Downtempo and Balearic. "Hot Naples" is fresh, cosmic, deep and equally influenced by italo sound and early house.
