Kubok - DJ / producer / promoter / life performer. Father co-founder of Veni Vidi Techno., half of VIELD live duo. Although his vast experience in the music scene sculptured the kind of artist he is right now, he doesn't think it's relevant to mention here. He was always into faster and harder but still romantic kinds of techno, but it has been too fast and too hard for everyone else - until now. According to one of his maxims - 'faint heart never won fair maiden' he loves dropping completely out-of-context mood-changing songs during his sets. Seriously, he's not afraid of anything - despite dentists.
He loves uplifting, epic, and romantic melodies, powerful kickdrums, 80s music, calisthenics, vinyl records, old-school, and above all - his car.

Jak świat wraca do życia, tak i my postanowiliśmy ożywić naszą serię podcastów. Na pierwszy ogień oczywiście idzie nasz nowy booking manager - Kubok. Jest to osoba bezpośrednio odpowiedzialna za ten syf co się u nas dzieje od czerwca. Nie zakładajcie wrotek bo i tak trzeba będzie je odpiąć - miłego słuchania!

Dj / producent / promotor / Life performer. Ojciec założyciel Veni Vidi Techno.. i połowa duetu VIELD, obecnie także dyrektor programowy klubu Szpitalna1. Nie do końca pamięta kiedy pierwszy raz wyszedł na scene ale nikogo to specjalnie nie dziwi. Info z kim dzielił  DJke to TLDR, poza tym kogo to właściwie interesuje? xD Co natomiast istotne, to że kiedy wchodzi za decki, wie jak sprawnie połączyć szczery, klasyczny łomot z romantycznymi, epickimi i upliftowymi melodiami. Preferuje życie typu „closing” z którego jest już znany. Znakiem szczególnym Kuboka stało się wplątywanie w sety wyjętych z kontekstu (często przypałowych) smaczków i nieoczywiste zakończenia, które sieją na parkiecie pełną dezorientacji euforię tak, że rejwerzy nawet nie wiedzą z której strony ich klepło. Pośród rzeczy które kocha można wymienić wyżej wymienione melodie właśnie, srogą stopę, płyty winylowe, swój syntezator modularny, ale przede wszystkim, jego szybciutką - jak sety, które gra - furę.
Ulubione tempo to 147bpm i uważa, że poniżej 140 to idzie zasnąć.

BIO: 
DJ, producer, promoter, live performer. Founding father of Veni Vidi Techno. and half of the no longer existing VIELD duo, which has releases on labels such as Mechatronica, K-Hole Trax, FASRAT and T&NE Records. Currently, he is the responsible program director of the Szpitalna 1 club. Last year, he released podcasts for platforms such as SYNOID, OBSKURA or Polish Techno.logy, their first solo track for the above mentioned T&NE Records, and a remix of crazy duteu Penera for their POTOP Records with a premiere at The Brvtalist channel. He doesn't quite remember when he first went on stage, but no one is really surprised. When he gets behind the decks, he knows how to efficiently combine honest and classic thud with romantic, epic and uplift melodies. He prefers the "closing" life he is already known for. 
A special feature of Kubok is the entanglement in the sets of taken out of context flavors and non-obvious endings, which spread euphoria full of confusion on the dance floor.

Hot on the heels of one Liverpool producer making his debut on MOS (John Heckle) is another Merseyside producer, ASOK, also making his label debut. Born Stu Robinson, he is the man behind cultured and burgeoning house and techno label Scenery Records, has released on Deep Space Orchestra’s Use of Weapons and, though he has firm roots in d&b, has proven himself adept at crafting raw analogue jams that fuse house and techno together into compelling new forms.

Opening up his Poltergeist EP is ‘Project Poltergeist’, a fizzing brew of incessant hi hats and prominent acid lines that duck and dive between nicely roughshod claps. It’s misty and mystic and immediately feels at home on this label given its heritage. ‘Smash Dimensions’ is a little more stripped back, again placing lots of focus on a lively acid wiggle, but this time dealing in a more serene sense of mood that loosely chucks open and closed hi hats into a grainy arrangement that gentle jacks throughout.

On the flip, ‘Walker’ takes us on a cerebral voyage through raining melodic droplets, crushed percussion and lumpy drums before final track ‘Captain Blood’ pairs a dirty, gnarly bassline with crisp cowbell tinkles and more nicely frayed percussion. This is hugely textured house music with a sombre sense of soul that really manages to take you places.

Right in time for the weekend we are happy to present this week's zero" podcast and it is one of our finest so far, coming from Dutch techno stalwart <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/artist/Aroy_Dee">Aroy Dee</a>.

In loose association with the Delsin camp Aroy has been running his <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/label/MOS_(Delsin)">M>O>S</a> imprint for many years now, holding up the flag for deep and raw Detroit-style techno on the Dutch west coast.

Artists who have appeared on M>O>S include <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/artist/Morphosis">Morphosis</a>, <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/artist/Legowelt">Legowelt</a>, <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/artist/Gerd">Gerd</a>, <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/artist/DMarc_Cantu">D'Marc Cantu</a>, yet Aroy Dee himself has been responsible for most of his label's output. 

His productions - also as part of the <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/artist/R-A-G">R-A-G</A> crew together with G-String and Marco Spaventi - have further been released on <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/label/Rush_Hour">Rush Hour</a>, <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/label/Delsin_Records">Delsin</a> and <a href="http://www.zero-inch.com/label/NWAQ_(Delsin)">NWAQ</a> and have consistently been exploring the field between deep and drifting techno and the jacking analogue house the Netherlands have become famous for.

Aroy Dee's podcast features both US and European, classic and contemporary interpretations of his particular style of house music: From warm and pad-heavy tracks by him and like-minded artists such as Redshape, Newworldaquarium and Kassem Mosse to authentic Chicago bangers from Trax and DJ International.

zero'' // podcast #048 - DJ Mix: Aroy Dee

Daze follows up his seminal 'Lips' white label with a huge three-track EP for the core Lobster Theremin label. Traversing a bastardised series of themes that sees Jersey house blended with overdriven rave, tinker-toy acid lines slicing through shrouded doom techno and chattering hip-hop loops rolling over classic breakbeat house.

The A-side is dominated by the epic 9:09 minutes long 'Neuromance' titles track. A gritty, cyberpunk-edged number that pumps along with a staggered Jersey-style swing and rattling hats, it takes less than a minute for Daze to break the spell and bring in those serene 90's floating pads that so marked out his debut. A hammering ode to the early hours extended jam and a coming-up anthem for 2015.

The flip is shared by a pair of opposing moods.. 'Death Whirl' is pretty much exactly that. A circling drone hovering ominously over some seriously groove-battered drum programming. this could easily have been carved out as a lone drum tool but the ante's upped with a heavily gated acid line that plinks and plonks it's way over the insatiable percussive beating.

B2 'Compton' was an early contender for the Lips release, but was repositioned here as to not "over-breakbeat" the first 12"! A steady, lazy, woozy afternoon in the sun, looping into euphoria with guests acid skits, face-warming pads and that never ending breakbeat repeat.
