Il progetto "the DownLovers" prende forma nella primavera del 2009 tra i banchi dell'università di Architettura di Torino. Il duo è formato da Michele Armando e Siddi Pellegrino. Inizialmente nato per gioco grazie alla passione di entrambi per i Daft Punk, i due ragazzi cominciano una vera e propria ricerca musicale, attenta anche alla sperimentazione. Lavoro costante e una sfrenata passione per la musica indie ed elettronica li hanno portati a suonare ad eventi, feste private e in alcuni dei più noti locali del torinese e cuneese. I loro set sono sempre differenti e la ricerca è un punto fondamentale di ogni loro esibizione, che li porta a creare una mescolanza di suoni divertente e mai scontata, con una selezione musicale che va dagli MGMT ai Royksopp, dai Ratatat ai Crystal Castles, passando per i These New Puritans fino agli Stereo Total.

The project "the DownLovers" took shape in the spring of 2009 between the benches at the University of Architecture in Turin. The duo was formed by Michele Armando and Siddhi Pellegrino. Initially created thanks to the passion from both for Daft Punk, the two boys began a real musical research, including experimentation. Constant work and an unbridled passion for indie and electronic music have led them to play at events, private parties and some of the best known clubs in Turin. Their sets are always different and research is a fundamental point of each of their performance, which leads them to create a sound mix of fun and never taken for granted, with a selection of music ranging from MGMT to Royksopp, Ratatat to Crystal Castles, passing through These New Puritans and Stereo Total.

The BRAINROT philosophy is simple…
There are no fancy experimental methods or extravagance involved in our work. We base everything we do on hard work, only working with writers and artists we truly love and believe in.  We see ourselves as an extension of the artist’s team.

Unlike many larger operations, we understand that there has never been a better time to be an artist. We do not claim to be able to MAKE someone a superstar but what we will offer is putting 100% in to everything we do to help them achieve the career they deserve.
