DJ Puffin is no stranger to the world of DJing,having grown up alongside DJ’s from a very early age and spending most of his teenage years around turntables and mixers, it was no surprise he was naturally drawn to it.

“Originally I learnt to DJ on vinyl. I love the purity of vinyl DJing, with no bpm counters and purely working by ear it taught me a lot of the core skills forgotten by many new DJ’s. I moved onto cdj’s a couple of years ago, mainly because I wanted to get experience using the equipment most venues had in the booth,so I adapted to the new technology,and with it found a whole new level of DJing, mainly due to the creativity it unleashed”.

He then spent the next 18 months perfecting his skills by playing at parties and local “raves”,plus,of course,endless hours of practice,all of which paid in 2012 when he secured his first club booking,for L2D. After that he never looked back as 2013 kicked off and the bookings started to roll in.

As 2013 continued word was spreading about his well crafted and structured sets and ground breaking performances, winning him praise and acclaim from fellow DJ’s,promoters and clubbers alike.

By the end of 2013,his first year DJing, he was already resident DJ for DNA in Leicester and had bookings for One Chance,L2D. he’d also secured a weekly radio show on internet radio and he’d produced several tracks,including one with UK Hardcore’s man of the moment Ben X-Treme,

“To say it was an unbelievable year would be an understatement. I never thought I’d achieve so much just 12 months in. It’s been hard work at times but I’ve enjoyed every second of it. I’ve done things I’d never dreamt of, like producing with Ben X-Treme,having my own radio show,and just having so much love and support around me.Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better….. it did”.

At the end of 2013 DJ Puffin was awarded the TFH award for best newcomer, and he’s being hotly tipped by industry insiders & those in the know as THE DJ to watch in 2014,and I wouldn’t bet on them being wrong.

To kick off 2014 he was signed by 3Feet High’s DJ Management team, who have a well proven track record within the industry for nurturing the cream of new DJing talent and developing them into the ‘Superstar’ DJ’s of tomorrow.

“To be signed to 3feet High is an amazing step for me, and with their help & support I know I can take my DJing career to a whole new level. It certainly helps a lot to know that I can now concentrate on the mixing and producing side of things, and that they’ll take care of the marketing and management side. It’s a hugely competitive industry nowadays and promotion is definitely the key to getting your foot in the door,and with their reputation I know I’m in safe hands. I just can’t wait to see what 2014 brings……”.

 We first got together in early 2008 just creating music for jokes, i got a copy of 'FL Studio' and after a few weeks so did George, we just started creating music from there.

We both live in small villages in Leicestershire (it being that we live the other end from each other) so the music promotion and music industry around here is more biased towards mainstream pop and the likes, this creates difficulty for us to promote our music effectively however we are seeming to get around that.

As production got more serious we both got a copy of Ableton Live and also signed up for 'Soundcloud' this was the starting point of our musical career. 

After a few studio sessions and a few releases we purchased some hardware to start creating a home studio and since then our music has just risen in quality and professionality.

Promotion and delivering a unique style is now our biggest priority and with constructive feedback from fans and even compliments will boost morale and we will be able to deliver our unique style to entertain fans.
