Imre Kiss’ light-conceived alias 'The Donna Smith Experience' kicks off the sonic tale with the awe-inspiring 'Stay (Let's Float In Space)'. We will greet many dawns with this beauty, that's for sure. We welcome Escape Artist to our label with his spacey-cosmic break called 'A Deep Breath', traveling with it to a forest of an alien planet light years from here. And if we are talking about the sci-fi themes: would you like a retrofuturist beat for your personal transformation? Route 8 is got you delivering 'Be Aware' to your ears, an hommage to DMX Krew & breakdance floors. 
'Closed For Subsidence' with its damaged melody and throbbing bassline evokes the loneliness and darkness we’ve all experienced at some time over the past year, but we feel that Jeigo dripped a little hope for us into the song as well. In 2018 Route 8 after recording hardware only live jams for years, he started to experiment in Ableton Live. 🎹 The result was our "It's Okay To Dance" EP, but during this time, he recorded a few other tracks which were a bit different from his usual mellow house sound including this gem. 🛰
We played this trancey banger at a couple of parties over the past few years and people seemed to enjoy it, so we decided to put it up on the interwebs, so others can experience Route 8's hypnotic visions. 😵

Instructions: 🍚
Put on this record (this will allow the flavors to really come together). Heat up a dry frying pan as hot as these tracks, sprinkle the joy and love, and toast until fragrant. Take it out into a bowl, then stir in the relief and euphoria. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Use this Route 8 blend to spice up the dance floor. 💃

Route 8 - Rare Spice Blends & Indecipherable Dance Moves (TIOT-SPICE1)

This Is Our Time warmly welcomes Tifra from Utrecht into the TIOT family and super pumped to have his five-track EP titled 'Coral Fractals' in its catalogue. "The EP gives a nice reflection imo of different sounds I like to produce" - wrote the artist for us, so let's see what kind tracks we got from this wide palette.

We start off with the lively 'Ahora', synth rays emerging from multi-layered drum patterns chased by restless acid serpents, a track that effortlessly shakes you up and gets your blood pumping. Next up is the EP's title track, 'Coral Fractals'. A dark and ominous tech-stomper rolling with the weight of the ocean with small chirps that rise from the depths like bubbles.

We find ourselves entangled in mycelium with the goa trance '4th Dimension' with its constantly coiling melodies and floating harmonies. Cueing up the last two tracks first we have 'Copal' where Tifra pulls influence from the early/mid-90s progressive house tracks sprinkling in some classic voice sample just to complete the warehouse rave feel. The EP closer is 'Gloomy Glitch' a sinister and menacing low-mid tempo ritual, leaving us with an eerie feeling at the end of this journey.

This Is Our Time is thrilled to announce its first international artist, Perdu from Amsterdam.
On his EP called 'Finding Life on Planet Rash' he launches us up to the stars with 'Sun Of Nahar' starting this mission with italo-propulsion. This sends us to a stratosphere high trajectory and lands us on 'Equalizing The Truth', an elusive jam with a toned-down bassline and otherworldly soundscapes. The triumphant cosmic house called 'Changing Worlds' leads the way on the B-side with rolling chimes and tribal-y percussion and our dancefloor exploration ends with 'Wrong Perception' a subtle and delicate track which is the deepest of all so it gives the space and time to just reflect. 
We were on board the first time we listened to these tracks so buy a ticket for the ride!

This Is Our Time welcomes Aspetuck from the US to their label family with 'The Time Capsule Experiment' EP. His three original tracks are ranging from house, breakbeat to electro but all of them come with a nice twist. Jazzy chord & odd vocoder sounds accompany a cosmic soundscape on the EP starter 'Lift Point' and with tweaked chirps & eastern strings on a bare breakbeat, 'The Time Capsule Experiment' is definitely the most leftfield one on this EP. Closing off the release is the sinister electro 'Solace' of which we can only imagine a demon-summoning tribal ritual was the inspiration.
The EP comes with two remixes. Jeigo's rethinking of the title track is a meetup of two worlds: an aerial stomper for closing your set in the early morning hours. The dubby trance remix of 'Lift Point' is from the label boss Route 8 - his synth pads have never been so trippy like this!
