Every now and then you get sent a track which negates the need for a funny writeup. Sometimes we just need to step back and let the music do the talking, and this record makes us feel that way. 

Contribe has come through with an absolute SLAPPER of a record with El Rey! With as many syllables as it has hi-hats, it’s hard to imagine a dance floor this record wouldn’t work on. We can really see it fitting into some 'overly cool European DJ' sets, but work just as well on the shores of Florida with some button up party shirts. No pointing fingers :P 

The flip La Reina, is time to take a deep breathe, find your spot and stick there for the next 5 minutes. Weaving in and out of Amazonian flutes and insects, this gives us all the feels. It’s Summer somewhere in the world, right? 

These two records really capture what Contribe does best, and that’s locking the groove and keeping hold of you. These ones have a long shelf-life!

courtesy of Omer Bar & Gal Kinnel. Their Pitom EP offers warm,
late-summer 'moogie' basslines, finely crafted and tight percussions,
jumpy chords and somehow controlled and yet unrelenting energy.

Second in line is Od Lo, which carefully builds up and elevates the EP
vibes. A real dancefloor weapon, the track blends driving kicks and
percussions, similarly pulsating bassline and playful Brazilian vocal
which perfectly locks into the track's groove.
