Rome-based producer A-Tweed lands on our sub-label Human Endeavour with a four-track EP of hypnotic, leftfield chuggers. Well known for his cocktail of crawling, lysergic beats and low slung acid mutations, the Italian producer follows outings for labels like TRESOR, Multi Culti and Hard Fist, with the wonky, tripped-out rhythms of ‘Riot Disco Punk’.

Shunning conventional dancefloor tropes, A-Tweed brings his signature punk attitude to this self-proclaimed “personal musical riot”, launching with ‘Kabuki Spin’, a steady beat awash with reverberating synths and whispered vocals that take us out of reality. 

The off kilter wonk of the title track follows with a smattering of bleeps, bloops, crunches and vocal stabs, setting the scene for the intoxicating, skewed rhythms of ‘Akira Danse!’ and psychedelic tribal beats of ‘Dusty Rumble Fish’; each track serving as a reminder that it's always more fun to colour outside of the lines.

For the first Edit of the label, @oltrefuturo edits DMX Krew´s single "The Wiggly Worm" from the 2018 EP of the same name and released via Super Rythm Trax.


For this Edit, Oltrefuturo kept the original groove while slowing it down and doing what he loves doing for his own craft: a Trance A Lento sub 100bpm, subjugating the bass and vocals curling up nicely with the subtle percussive elements.  The listener is brought straight into a cosmic realm that could be either pictured as a monk ceremony in a temple in the Himalaya or a transcendental dance of the incas on top of the Machu Piccu. 

In the andante, we believe. Opening or closing : this is your call.

Representing the sound of decadent Lisbon dance party Comandante, [COM001] PÔT-POT is three deconstructions by Sibson that channel 5-piece motorik group pôt-pot’s circular kraut mentality into thumping techno, prog and chugging dancefloor numbers.

COM001 is 20 copies only, double sided 12” hand-stamped white label featuring ‘NO FRIENDS‘ and ‘WARSAW 480KM‘, pressed in Lisbon. 'A4' is a digi-only track /// all three are available for digital download + vinyl SOLD OUT.

“No Friends mixes the band’s psychedelic guitar gymnastics with pumping progressive house. Buzzing, fizzing electronics cutting a rug with drones and chopped up fuzzboxed riffs. Warsaw turns into something harder and darker. Jacking, but more techno-edged. Grounded by a growling bass-line, the “rock” now reduced to percussive ringing and serrated siren-like effects. A4 is slower, sinister, sort of industrial, powered by a steam-punk piston pulse. The singer is shredded. The 6-string noise shaken, phased and filtered. Collaged beats get a Balearic indie-rock / dance crossover go-go-not-go-go groove thing going.”

The 5-piece motorik machine that is PÔT-POT first came into my orbit one night at Arroz Estúdios, where we throw the all-nite pleasure machine outings. Bass player Joe, a fellow Leodisian, introduced me to Mark aka mr. pôt-pot, and we spoke lucidly about Can, kraut, and the EP his band had just finished recording, 'Ode to A' - four tracks centered around 'A' single note.

That conversation ended with a firm handshake and a solid commitment that Mark would send over some stems. Some weeks later, I got the parts for 'A4', which became the first remix in a year-long odyssey that fulfilled the basic criteria of what was to become Comandante: an unsteady union between the thrashing tones of rough, ready garage + the dizzying heights of the discotek.

Four raging warehouse parties and three remixes later, COM001 appears; a harmonium drone runs through on stuck keys, spiritual and mourning, rotating synthetic b-line, garage chug, sunglasses at night, bleary-eyed repetition for oscillating dancefloors.

Three deep / hypnotic club burners, calling techno, kraut, prog + motorik sleaze, for when your usual stuff don’t hit the s<pôt>.

A special thanks to Mark, Elaine, Joe, Ollie and Sara of pôt-pot for their swirling take on experimental guitar music, for their late-nite show at Comandante back in September, and for giving free reign to deconstruct their stems into sweet, decadent submission.

'Returning to the Bordello, and the seven-inch, is Real Velour. This secretive figure reappears with two tracks of indie dance that bend and re-shape elements of italo disco, minimal pop and synth wave to create an utterly unique experience. Sleazy basslines and tropical percussion give way to heavily vocodered words in “Lover”, machine amor breaking to spoken human voice as melodies twirl. The romance described is one of passion, of friendship and of fidelity; but, with a hint of control. Clever and addictive, the composition cherry-picks bittersweet sounds to depict this relationship. The flip, “Look What You’ve Done”, maintains the candystore keys of the A-Side; the tone shifting as lyrics adopt a brazen and fortified vigour. It appears maybe that the promises of “Lover” have been shattered. While the love story turns to hurt feelings and regret, Real Velour keep the energy high to revel in the final break-up.'

Broadcasting from Vienna to the Caribbean, Belly Dance Services unveils its 27th release – introducing Puerto Rico-based collective Panic Broadcast and their EP RAZA, a fusion of folkloric roots, cosmic rhythms, and Latin American electronic vanguardism. The EP features two original tracks plus two remixes, including one by label head Nick Hanzo.

Born out of the wake of Hurricane María in 2017, Panic Broadcast unites Raymond Gadget (Macroporno, Psiconautas), Jorge Martinez (Matotumba, SIMILAR), and Jorge Ramos (deep, Ha!) – pushing the boundaries of audiovisual experimental music in the Caribbean and beyond.

RAZA is an electronic rumba laced with Afro-Fusion textures – a cosmic celebration and homage to Jíbaro music legend Tavín “Hígado de Ganso” Pumarejo, amplified through collaboration with Oferenda.

URAYOÁN references the legendary Taíno Cacique who resisted colonization, delivering a tribal step rhythm rich with surreal tones – a hypnotic call for transformation and resistance.

The remixes expand the EP's sonic palette: Belly Dance Services mastermind Nick Hanzo delivers a breaky reinterpretation of RAZA, layering his own vocals, frog sounds and otherworldly melodies into a late-night floor burner.

Meanwhile, the Hypnotic Horns Remix of URAYOÁN bends the rumba-infused rhythm into a hypnotic journey, led by introspective horns and psychedelic undertones.
