With a massive output of collaborations in the last couple of months with Tube & Berger, Paji, Flo MRZDK or Chemical Surf, it’s definitely time again for Juliet Sikora to bring her very own and long-awaited EP to your speakers! After her huge success being producing part next to Tube & Berger on “Come On Now (Set It Off)” last year, “Larrys Garage EP” consisting of two tracks is one of the most promising releases on the Kittball-catalogue for the first half of 2015. The title track grooves with a deep bass going with a female soul vocal and a cheering crowd which is something in accordance for the upcoming summer and Open Air-Season. “Tender Trip” is a small following to the underground sound of the 90’s tripping with a more classic base and acid-biased loops. All in one this is a package you should keep a strong eye on as it will for sure touch you more often the next months! 2015 is going to be a massive year for Juliet Sikora with an output of strong remixes for Lane 8, Notize & Fura and further collaborations with Tube & Berger, Nakadia and Berlin based Lars Moston!

Fast rising London-based brothers Brodanse are next up on Saved Records with a two track EP featuring their signature subterranean grooves and deep, dark techy vibes.

“Feel Me” is a stripped back, deep house cut that is simultaneously sparse and jacking. Each sound is given space to breathe as 303 drum machines splice straight through an atmosphere that although has a brisk tempo, is relatively restrained. That conflict creates a palpable tension within the track, exacerbated by stabbing synths and repeated, shrieking vocals. Somewhere between jacking, dubby and deep, this track has a distinctive feel and tone that is entirely of its own.

“Nightwatch” is a more laidback affair, tapping into a concoction of lush atmospheres, melodic basslines and warm synths. There is a spacey, textured aesthetic that allows the track to flow with a both a soulful sincerity and a purposeful drive. The brothers once again prove their deft hand at creating succinct moodiness in their modern yet unpretentious tech sound.

July is here, heat is hitting strongly and elrow Music wants to continue its firm line of releases with this 108th reference. This time, the new delivery comes in the hands of a fresh and unseen pair: Germany’s Santé and elrow’s beloved resident, Toni Varga. ‘In Time EP’ is a four-tracker with two original takes by the new production duo and two remixes, by Sydney Charles and Dale Howard, respectively. The EP opens with ‘In Time (Original Mix)’, a track in which the duo starts with a strong yet loose percussion, that gives it a character of its own, to continue with a combination of a firm vocal line with a truly outstanding and playful set of sound FX, that will make the crowds go crazy with it, making this tune perfect for peak times on the dancefloor. ‘In Time’ remix comes in the hands of Sydney Charles, who tightens the percussion, gives the track a different progression and bathes it with a techier vibe, changing completely the original mindset of the track, making it more physical and percussive. Then we have ‘Sub Bass System (Original Mix)’, in which Santé & Toni Varga use a stronger and more techno-like percussion, along a vocal line that sings the track’s title, and starts becoming more progressive and deep by the half of it, incorporating different sets of sound FX and synth lines, giving a more atmospheric feel. This time, ‘Sub Bass System’ remix is delivered by Dale Howard, whose interpretation is a true masterpiece, giving it a deeper feel – totally infused with Ibiza’s vibe –, a cleaner and steadier percussion set, with a groovier feel to it, beside the way he manages to play with the vocal line, making the remix perfect for any time on the dancefloor. Crowds are going to love any of the tracks in this EP, which demonstrates both sides of elrow Music’s sound signature, completing an amazing ERM108 reference. All in all, elrow Music continues its sound journey, strengthening its position as one of the most solid label in the current tech-house scene.
