-How long have you been creating music?
Corbin: Started producing at 16 years old on Garage Band and then Maschine, transferred to Ableton about a year ago, so 14 years now
Rein: I started playing guitar at 6 and began composing original music around 8 or 9 years old. I began producing on Logic at 13 and carried that passion all the way to the ICON Collective with me. It’s been a 20 year long journey now. 


-What do you use to make your tracks?
Corbin: Ableton Live 11

-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?
Corbin: Went to my first Dirtybird BBQ in Miami 2016, been a fan ever since!
Rein: My buddy Nate (Leffingwell) turned me on to dirtybird around the year 2020

-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?
Corbin:That's tough, I’d say Claude VonStroke, Dipzy, or Steve Darko
Rein: I have a huge appreciation for Steve Darko’s sound and think we could make some real weird stuff together

-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?
Corbin: Jurassic Park
Rein: Man sits in front of computer and confronts self doubt

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Corbin: Hands down, Earth Wind & Fire Bonnaroo 2015
Rein: I got to see Rush with my father as a kid and that was incredible 

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
Corbin: Whenever/wherever they were taste-testing the first Pop Tarts, big Poptart guy
Rein: I would go back to meet my grandfather and spend more time with him. I took his birth name, Rein, and have always felt a connection to him although we only met a few times. 


-What species of bird best describes you and why?
Corbin: Chicken, funky fellow that stays head bobbin’
Rein: A Phoenix. Rebirth is a huge theme in my life as someone in recovery. I have one tattooed on my chest. 

-What does Dirtybird mean to you?
Corbin: Freedom to be who you are in a judgment-free environment, pushing the limits beyond the norm. 
Rein: Community! Togetherness. Being cool with how weird I am and everyone else appreciating that too.

The recipe for a great compilation: 

Step 1. 
Mix two cups of dopeness, 300ml of sizzle and a knob of butter into a large mixing bowl (be sure not to overmix). 

Step 2. 
Create a hole in the bottom of the mix and use a sieve to add 3 tablespoons of greatness. 

Step 3. 
Using your fingers, slowly massage the mix until it feels thicc and consistent. No lumps should remain. 

Step 4. 
Preheat the oven to 420 and pour the compilation mixture out onto a baking tray. 

Step 5. 
Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. 

Once cooled, feel free to consume the entire compilation with your friends in one sitting Leave no leftovers.
