Adrian Gonzalez was born and raised in Columbia, SC. In school, Adrian fell in love with poetry and how the words had the power to change people. Once he was introduced to Hip-Hop music, the rest was history. "F.I.R.E." was the first stage name that Adrian went by. It was an acronym for Faith In Redemption Everlasting. He started rapping at 13 years old. 4 years later, Adrian's music had outgrew it's name. "God was just changing my heart, He was changing how I went about my music," Adrian said. Adrian had always been influenced by rappers from Cross Movement and Reach Records. "Lecrae was always an inspiration to me, I loved how he didn't care about what people thought about him, he expressed his thoughts and beliefs in his music in such a powerful and God-fearing way, that was how I wanted to deliver my music." After listening to a song by Lecrae called "Crossover", Adrian decided that the song represented how he wanted to be viewed. And so, Crossover was born. Crossover is now 17 years old and is living his life serving God and serving others through music and the talents God has given him. Over the last few years he has released 2 mixtapes, and is already scheduled to release "Diamond Life EP" early 2013. Crossover's goal is to reach the lost. He uses music and his lyrics to bring to light hot-topic issues that today's generation is facing. "It's hard being half Cuban and half white, because typically, in the hip hop world, neither of those races tend to be that good. I just want to prove to people that its not about talent. It's about effort." Until joining F.A.M., Crossover had to everything on his own: mix, master, sell, and promote all of his music. Effort has truly been what this artist has lived by.
