آناهیتا الهه نگهبان آب ایرانیان – «آناهیتا» به معنای پاک و دور از آلودگی در اعتقاد ایرانیان باستان الهه آب، فرشته نگهبان چشمه‌ها و باران و همچنین نماد باروی، عشق و دوستی بوده است. این اعتقاد از دوران پیش از زرتشت در ایران وجود داشته و در دوران‌های بعدی هم مورد توجه قرار گرفته است.فرشتهٔ آب با گردونهٔ خود که از چهار اسب باران، ابر، تگرگ و باد تشکیل شده به نبرد با دشمنان خود می‌رود و آن‌ها را شکست می‌دهد. جزء آخر نام او، آناهیتا است که به معنای بی‌آلایش و پاک است...
