Faustix & Imanos have a knack for transferring vocals to new places and spaces and on their debut Jeffree's EP titled Echoes, they've done just that. LIPS' tune "Everything to Me" is a guilty pleasure you'd hear while shopping with your girlfriend but be too embarrassed to Shazam. The Faustix & Imanos remix lands it into a perfect space of female acid pop that we can't seem to take off of repeat.

Next up, the duo work dark magic to bring you "Echoes feat. Data Romance," an original tune where Data Romances' haunting vocals meet a side-chained electrical surging bassline. Her simple yet deep voice somehow creates amazing contrast with the harder synths in the drop.

"Run Run Run The Trap" is a re-imagining of the Dragonette original "Run Run Run." It reminds me of what La Roux's music would sound like if she grew up in "The Bluff," boasting dark pop 80's pop with frantic hi-hats and 808 kicks.

Black Mythology is the fourth EP by Apashe on Kannibalen Records. Leaving behind the funk influences of his last EP, Funky Family, Apashe has turned his synths and drums into overdrive, creating a pair of booming trap anthems that should propel him further into the upper echelons of the electronic music universe and solidify his status as the new God of Bass.   

The first track of the EP, Black Gold, is the continuation of his September smash hit free release, Battle Royale. Black Gold is a stomping trap banger, filled with epic orchestral samples and anchored by an insistent, guttural vocal sample. The second track, Forsaken, is a monster collaboration between Apashe, Dabin and Kai Wachi. Conceived during a marathon studio session at Apashe’s studio in Montreal, it contains signature sounds from all three producers. With elements of glitch hop, trap and drumstep and featuring the vocals of Ariane Zita, Forsaken has the potential to be a huge chart-topper.

Summertime starts early for Russia’s futuristic beatsmith 813.  His latest EP on Jeffree’s is the soundtrack to an infinite waterslide in a Nintendo 64-bit world. “XOXO” starts off the release with hype-inducing chord stabs, that builds and drops with more energy than a new born baby could fathom. If you made an apple pie in 2046 and set it on your window sill, birds would come by and whistle the first 32 bars to “Thank You.” It’s a timeless positive motivator that suddenly hits you with a “dry hump in the fetal position” Jersey drop. Once you make your way back to your feet you’re just in time for “Prpl Drunc” a sort of reprise to “XOXO” that leaves you on the beach with a MaiTai while your snorkel and fins dry by the sunset.
