Formed in 2012 this stylish band with electrifying stage presence draws you into a new musical world with literary and cinematic sentiments. As a firm fixture on the London and Sussex gig-circuit, Simonne and The Dark Stars are gaining notoriety not just their dramatic songs with vocals of raw emotion, addictive melodies but also the distinctive bone-rattling rhythm and bass.

Upon its release in 2013, debut EP ‘Love Like You Never’ was critically acclaimed as ‘haunting [and] elegant, with Sound and Motion magazine hailing Simonne as ‘one of the greatest female voices we've come across’.  In late 2013, having supported the likes of Polly Scattergood and Gallon Drunk, the band took a brief hiatus to focus on personal projects. 
In 2017, the band took to the stage for a one-off performance to raise money for Help Refugees charity. The success of the night left the audience wanting more. One year later the band’s solid fan base successfully exceeded a Kickstarter campaign that drove the band into an intensive recording session at the infamous Konk Studios in London. 
With all the stars aligned the band worked with the highly acclaimed producer, Mark Waterman at both Konk and Shabby Road Studios. This album will capture lyrics that have raw and confessional narrative, expressed through dreamlike and experimental ‘pop’ melodies, and brought to life by Simonne’s blisteringly powerful vocals. 

The band itself has also evolved: as Simonne explains, “We are now a three-piece band with me on the keys and vocals , Mark on bass and John on drums. Together, we want to transport our audience to another place - if only for a short while - but bring them back changed, forever.”
