Undiagnosed learning disorder . The friends of the general have all grown up leaving him to play with his sharpened sticks and rusty blades, alone.
SCHEIDT ! began life as a 4-piece way way back in 1967, only then they were known as something else entirely and not necessarily all the original members were in the same band at any one time together, simultaneously. Back then they were renowned more for their  haircuts than their music which was produced in long slow arduous sessions of constipated squeezing and relied heavily on main man Felix Pimmelllickers curious chord progressions and gestalt whimpering. They built their sound round their empty lives and somewhere hidden deep within their early recordings for SMITE records you can hear the sound of people going. nowhere. Fast.
The band split in 1969 having committed just 27 minutes to acetate and these have surfaced as collectors items  on that eBay, the track earmarked for a single CLEAN YOUR OWN HOLE, can fetch up to 15 shillings at auction.
Drummer Horst Horst gave up music entirely and now lives in Finland where he mostly stays still.
The bands original bassist Adolf Smittler played in various prog rock bands in the 1970's, including BEELZEBUBS  SLIPPERS , CROCK and PURPLE  OXYGEN TENT before giving up music altogether to concentrate on his breathing.
Guitarist/flanger/git  Dennis Von vertongerengerengen and Pimmelllicker  carried on as an unconvincing duo playing experimental backwoods bluegrass on synthesisers with Pimmelllickers maudlin self pitying poetry triggered through echo machines producing a sound that one critic called ' the sound hummus makes when it hits the floor in volume and then someone roller skates through it'. Pimmelllickerand  Von vertongerengerengen fell out in 1977, at this time both of them had moved into Pimmelllickers girlfriends house, her name was Mimi Mimo and she didn't have an artistic bone in her body, instead she ran a kitchen tile shop and as  Pimmelllickers music career seemed to be shuddering to a welcome stop she asked him if he wanted to learn to tile bathrooms . He said Yes.
'So now there was only  Von vertongerengerengen , he joined punk band SHOWER OF SHIT and rehearsals for the tour were going well, right up until the drummer freaked out on Mescaline in a Sheisshavn hotel room and attacked the rest of the band with a trouser press, killing the singer and bass player and critically injuring  Von vertongerengerengen. He spent 17 years in a coma and nobody shaved him, not even his sister who cared for him and offered him encouragement through all the time he appeard turned off to the world.
Although he came out of his coma nearly 20 years ago,
Von vertongerengerengen  is wheelchair bound and almost totally immobile, but has learnt to communicate using Panpipes.
This incarnation of SCHEIDT ! features non of the original members, but as an affectionate nod toward them we have included the sound of Von vertongerengerengens  breathing through his medical tubes.
