MYEN is the shortened term for myenteric plexus, an area on the intestines that carries our second brain, a gut nervous system. MYEN's practice is fueled by the fascination of (post-)organic instrumentation. The human bodie's tracts such as the vocal tract are in MYEN's eyes organic bodies of sound. His music is characterized by graphically synthesized vocals that are best described as frequencies that sound like as if they came from a theremin covered in mucous membranes. MYEN's relationship with both sound consumption and production can be narrowed down to trauma-healing and self-soothing. He finds himself particularly fascinated by sound that is capable of pulling the listener into an extremely immersive and sometimes irritating headspace.
