Formed in 2020, This Summer has been carving their name into the budding Cleveland emo/alternative scene. Starting with their self-titled EP, they defined their dynamic and versatile sound with 6 songs highlighting their strengths. Following their first project, the band dropped 3 singles to introduce their upcoming album. After 3 years together, they have refined their talents in preparation for their freshman LP, Liminal Space.

Sitting at 10 songs, Liminal Space is This Summer at their most sincere. From top to bottom, the LP covers a multitude of sounds from varying inspirations, including bands like Arm's Length, Movements, Origami Angel, and Citizen. In an effort to keep listeners on their toes, this record's intensity is ever-changing. From pained emo ballads such as "Round 2" and "Lilypad" to the charged-up anthems "Face Tatt" and "Hyrule Fight Club" to the smoldering heavy hitters like "The Rabbit Hole" and "Papier-Mâché," this project cannot sit still.

This Summer is trying to remind people that emo is alive and well, that it's blossoming through a tightly-knit scene in Ohio, and that they are at the heart of it.
