Happy Thursday, listeners; this is Brandon. It's been about four days since the most recent part of OMORI went up, and the next part of that is planned for a Saturday release. I think bridging the gap until then with a new song is an excellent way to pass the time. You'll like this one, too, I'm sure of it.

The year is 2017, and I'm working on several projects under the direction of one of my most creatively brilliant friends, who went by Doctorine at the time. One such project they were working on was UNDERTALE related, and it was a fun spin of a beloved existing story directed by Dorked, which is called Inverted Fate. They aimed to take Dorked's unique story and "swap" the character placements, essentially putting all of the characters back into their original UNDERTALE placements while keeping the unique designs of Inverted Fate. As you can see by the design, Sans was an actively public scientist rather than Papyrus. This project, dubbed "Mirrored Inversion", never really made it out of the developmental stages, as it was mostly a fun idea, but it was fun to work on nonetheless. I had begun work on a final boss theme for Sans, simply titled "explain.", mirroring a popular boss fight concept for Papyrus at the time, which was titled "WHY?"...but I never finished it. Despite that, a preview of it I posted on a website gained much attention, and the song was remixed hundreds of times over as a result. I never really did anything officially with it again until May of 2019; I created a remake of the song that played on a strong 80s tone, with a heartfelt reference to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust". It's been over two years since then...

The modern age calls out to you in "Cognitive Assumptions", a wondrous reimagining of an age old song. Feel the laid back spirit of our favorite skeleton as you enter a brand new audible adventure of passionate soul and funk, listening to meaningful solos of the clavinet and soft electric keys, all with a filling bass tone and drum track to boot. Despite these unique elements, you'll find no shortage of epic orchestral composition; a powerful set of strings, brass, woodwinds, and choir will convey the emotional weight of UNDERTALE and its beloved story. Hearing familiar compositions from UNDERTALE, such as "sans.", "His Theme", and "Once Upon A Time", will refresh your memory of this wonderful adventure. Butting heads with a calculating, esteemed professor of chemistry and psychology will be frightening. You will feel rattled by deep and dark synthetic tones that play on your fears as you descend to his basement laboratory, time and time again, to face him in mortal combat. He will continue to collect data on your efforts at survival for further research...will you beat him?

Sensetale has always been one of my favorite AUs, the concept of Flowey as Sans stood out to me specifically because I just thought it was so creative! So I decided to make a "remaster" of this old song. Hope you guys enjoy! Chomps out.

In early 2016, I joined the Undertale Community, and would eventually join the Soundcloud side of things later that year. I've had a total of 4 Undertale accounts across my time in this hellhole of a community, but this one is the last…

As you may know, I recently released my 2nd album over at @rhythmicthoughts, go check it out btw, I'm actually proud of how it came out, mostly in part because of my amazing friends who helped me make it a masterpiece. I want to focus more on that side of things. So to do that, I'm retiring from Undertale music, I know I already said so in my last post, but this one explains why… I'm not happy here anymore… the toxicity, the pain I've endured, and (not so important but still a minor reason) the lack of originality. I'll remain working on ChangeTale: Distorted Destinies though, that's a passion project that I'm really happy with. Just please understand that I'm not happy here...

To my good friends: thank you all for being there for me, I'll still talk to y'all of course, keep being real ones.

To the people I inspired: please don't try to be me… you don't want my pain, and besides, we have little originality anyway, what I ask is that you try to be better than me, I've made mistakes, too many to count actually. I don't want to see them repeated…

To the people who have hurt me or just hate me in general: hate me if it makes you feel better, I genuinely don't give two shits about you, just don't come crying to me for anything.

It's been a wild ride, but all good things must come to an end… but not right now… there's one more thing coming to this account… something massive… I won't spoil anything but stay tuned…
