Sunken Cages is the moniker of drummer/electronic music producer Ravish Momin. He studied with US Jazz master-drummer Andrew Cyrille. He has worked as a sideman with a wide array of musicians from Shakira to avant-Jazz legend Kalaparush Maurice McIntyre (AACM/Chicago.)  In addition, he has also led his own Jazz/global group Tarana and Turning Jewels Into Water (with Val Jeanty) on international stages for the past 14 years.
As Sunken Cages, Momin plays electronic and acoustic drums, and triggers melodies and textures. While rooted in Indian and Black Music traditions, he is also influenced by the street sounds of underground dance music from Sao Paolo to Durban to Mumbai and beyond.

He has done remixes for Depeche Mode, renowned global electronic music producers Batida (Portugal) & Babani Sound System (Mauritius.) He has recently performed at Big Ears Festival (US), LeGuessWho? Festival (NL), Positive Futures Festival (Austria), Lincoln Center Outdoors Festival (New York City, US), Slingshot Festival (US) and Festival Congedi (Italy.)

Thollem has been touring non-stop for years as a soloist and in collaboration with hundreds of artists; musicians,
painters, dancers and filmmakers. He plays regularly across, and beyond, the stylistic spectrum with well-known and under-known artists in many different types of venues. Thollem records and performs on electric instruments both solo as well as in collaboration with a wide variety of musicians including members of: Unwound, Half Japanese, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wilco, Million Brazilians, Mailakat Dan Singha, Deerhoof, Minutemen, Iggy and The Stooges, Zdrastvootie, Can, dSCi, L'enfance Rouge, Neutral Milk Hotel.

Veronica "Vern" Avola, an Italian-born composer and multimedia artist based in Portland, Oregon, infuses a cheerfully unhinged flair to the music scene with their unconventional approach and dark sense of humor.

Avola spearheads EMS Records, a sanctuary for their own, unconventional and peculiar sounds, mostly in the form of limited run cassettes and compact discs, while also releasing albums under labels like Sige Recordings and An Out Recordings. Partnering with musicians such as Daniel Menche (Bear Spray), Erika Anderson (EMA+EMS), Australia's DEAD, and Ian Gorman Weiland (Elrond), Avola navigates through a variety of sonic terrains, from drone, to rhythmic dance music, to ambient and returning to harsh noise.

Their live performances, celebrated for their unconventional charm, have graced stages worldwide. Avola's residencies at esteemed institutions like Pioneer Works and involvement in organizations such as Residency Earth showcase their commitment to pushing artistic boundaries. Avola has had their music described as "a sprawling dustbin of cosmic oddities shot through with shuddering blasts and shuffling full spectrum noise" and "electronic music that combines wall noise with a delirious, Amanita Muscaria-soaked sense of dynamics."

Avola's interests span beyond composition and performance to the airwaves and the karaoke stage. They host a radio program on Repeater Radio in the UK, sharing eclectic tunes of all kinds. Off the air, Avola indulges their love for karaoke by hosting a bi-weekly event in Portland, Oregon called Road Hog Bitch Karaoke.

In addition to their solo endeavors, Avola collaborates on occasion with with Daniel Menche (as Bear Spray), Ian Gorman Weiland (as Elrond), Vo Vo (An Out Recordings) and Erika Anderson (EMA). Avola was a founding member of Prizehog (2006-2015), and a long time member of Shrew Florist (2005-2012).
