At times, by observing a small detail, I find myself thinking about my entire past, my childhood, adolescence, and the first steps of adult life. Amid the crowd of images and memories parading through my mind, I often pause to reflect on the relationship I had with my father, on what I wished I had received from him but didn't, on what I did receive but didn't want, on what I should have done for him but didn't, and on what I did but shouldn't have.
To these thoughts and the stirrings of my soul—which help me better understand the past and the present, and to make amends where possible—I associate the notes of “Father”, where feelings fade into nostalgia and gentle melancholy, permeated with a pervasive sweetness and an undefined delicacy.
