Next up is a producer and DJ who has become well known across Latin America and beyond for his far reaching sets which channel influences from scenes and music cultures from all over.

At the tail end of 2021 Omar Suárez released his latest music on celebrated record label NAAFI of which he has become closely affiliated. Some might call it techno but it went deeper than that, way deeper. This was a record all about atmosphere, style and sound design - he reworked percussion in a monstrous, unique fashion and the result was as enticing in the headphones as it sounds on the dancefloor.

This mix showcases Omar's respectable knowledge of music from around the world as he draws upon the influences which have helped to solidify his sound. There's hip hop, dub, rave, jazz, ambient and pretty much the full gauntlet in this tape which might just go down as one of our favourites this year.
