I wrote this piece of music after my recent visit to Chichén Itzá in Mexico, which left a deep impression on me. During my visit to Mexico, I witnessed Mayan tribal dances, and I was inspired by the rhythms and the use of conch shells as signalling instruments.

A smaller bonus track, nothing too big, but very much fun playing it! I was wondering if to upload it or not, but hey, internet can take anything, right? Besides, Two Steps From Hell is THE BEST thing that happened to music in this century so far, so why not to pay this little tribute to those guys! And to Mark Fowler, who wrote this cover (with few changes of mine)...

If only there would be no limits in our daily lives. No obligations, no everyday pointless hunt for money, no "musts" or "have tos". I would never leave my humble studio ever again. But I guess I would have no money then to purchase all those wonderful toys I can play with. Like this one. Audio Imperia did a wonderful 80% off-sale as a 10 year anniversary celebration over this summer, so I also made myself happy and got all of their treasures. This track is a deadly combo of Nucleus + Jaeger + Areia + Chorus. The sound coming out of these instruments is just ... stunning! I wish I could be a better composer/sound engineer to make it shine better. But playing with it is an incredible healing process, so it is compensating nicely with all the downsides of normal life.

Sky Is Not The Limit

Brass, drums, reverb. Anything more? Maybe a bit of a madness. I think I need to produce track like this from time to time, to release tension. Let the darkness do its thing so the light can take over next time.

Glimpse of Brass Madness

In Bridge To Dystopia I combined acoustic orchestral instruments with processed sounds and synths. The distorted ambience should also contribute to the overall feeling of decay.
The middle section is a warm Adagio movement, a dream-like reminder of hope, love and confidence.

Track 1 Dancing With The Dress

I wrote this meditation on an old Swiss folk tune in memory of my doctoral advisor who did this year at the age of 58. The composition combines many facts related to him eg. he played the cello himself, he was an acknowledged folklorist and cultural anthropological researcher. This recording has been made with a common recording device and no mastering has been done. The musicians are the young and very talented cellist Johannes Herzog, and my former piano teacher Elisabeth Tanner (recorded 2 November 2018 in the assembly hall of the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
