A piano and Rhodes from Equator 2 into Wires form the sounds here. There’s just the motor sounds of the wire recorder for the first four seconds which I used as a count in with the metronome.

The Project: Do something you’ve been putting off.

A long overdue experiment with processing vocals through a Red Panda Particle granular delay with pitch-shift.

Signal chain is: vocals through a Zoom H1n > Earthquaker Devices Avalanche Run, set on reverse delay + reverb > Red Panda Particle on pitch-shift setting. Everything performed live in the moment, with a bit of EQ to tame lows and brighten, and two edits after the fact for time and composition. For each section, I sang one sustained note and listened until I got a pitch-shift pattern that I liked, then I 'froze' it with the Chop control to create a loop, and improvised the other vocal parts over it in real-time.

This is a piece for a video game. The setting is an exotic, oriental imaginary world, so the music is full of oriental musical stereotypes, although it does not have a real correspondence with the authentic and beautiful oriental or Middle Eastern musical tradition.

here is my composition for the composer challenge FB group
the theme was a picture and we had to illustrate it in a 30 seconds track length, when i saw the picture i think to the great dance the Tango
so here is my composition

This piece started life with another, and not quite appropriate, name: Nocturne! 
The opening motive, a descending scale, is the slow, gliding, fall of a leaf on a still, sunlight afternoon. the lyrical sound of the violoncello and the D major tonality have the warmth of summer days, tinged with the melancholy chill that presages the coming winter.
The following lines I wrote in the same express these feelings.
"Autumn Is Past I miss the Autumn leaves Blowing gently in the breeze When the days are growing cold And Summer’s green has turn’d to gold.
I miss the Autumn glow Before the coming of first snow That turns the forest into dawn, With gold and red not yet withdrawn.
I miss the Autumn hue Of fresh mornings wet with dew, Which, when fallen on the grass, Sparkle like mirrors that must pass.
I miss the Autumn song Of the birds that go along With Summer’s heat to other lands, And other woods and other sands.
I miss the Autumns days When we both would sing in praise Of her beauty most serene Of red and gold and silver green."
