Our milestone podcast is a very special one curated by the Deep House Toronto founder, Mustafa Ismaeel ( @mustafaismaeelmusic )

In 2015 Mustafa and his partner Zain embarked on a journey to start the DHT community and podcast. Their vision and goal was to provide a platform that supports artists, build a community of music enthusiasts and share the music they love. They curated events in Toronto and got involved in many great local and international parties and festivals.

The journey was not an easy one and definitely had its ups and downs but they knew that persistence, consistency, and patience always pays off. Year by year the platform grew and established itself as a pillar of the Deep House music scene, not only in the Toronto scene but also internationally. The vision for Deep House Toronto was executed by continually expanding a team of very dedicated and talented individuals that work truly out of the love and passion they have for electronic music.

Growing this platform, Mustafa did not even release one podcast of his own on through it but rather set a goal that he will be doing the podcast #100. Fast forward 6 years and here we are! The team is stronger than ever and the platform is very excited for what's the come next.

“Music is the paint on the canvas of time.” - this quote is part of Thomas Cardin’s life philosophy, along with deep dedication to vibrant, vocal house music, intentional infusion of spiritual awareness to the club scene and progressive popularization of the underground sound.

He believes his success comes as a direct result of conscious, positive thinking, the power of good intentions and the ability to harness the healing force of music. With 14 years of DJing and a lifetime of musical background behind him,  Thomas is one of the founders of Secret Society. This label and community started with small gatherings at a secret beach in Toronto, and in less than 5years it gained worldwide recognition, underlined by a recent feature in Mixmag.
When asked, Thomas Cardin highlights his defining song selection as his greatest skill, but he never fails to give credit to the producers creating music. He says: “When I’m standing behind the decks there is no ego in play. I’m just channeling.”
