Thomash - Pollinations In C [André Pahl Edit V2]

In a shadowed desert, where twilight painted the sands in hues of silver and gray, there stood the Nyxian Factory, a mystical place that gave birth to new life. This factory had no cogs or gears—it thrived on the delicate balance between two species: the moths and the scorpions.

Each group played a vital role in designing and building new nocturnal creatures:
The Moths were the dreamers and designers, using their wings to paint patterns in the moonlight and sketching delicate details for each new creation. Their antennae, sensitive to the faintest vibrations, helped them envision how their creatures would move through the night.

The Scorpions were the engineers and protectors, their sharp pincers crafting exoskeletons and their stingers infusing the creatures with resilience. Their ability to glow under ultraviolet light was essential for illuminating their creations’ hidden strengths.

Together, they created beings perfectly adapted to the night. But there was tension between them.
The moths saw the scorpions as too rigid, their designs too harsh and utilitarian.
The scorpions thought the moths were impractical dreamers, more focused on beauty than function.
Their discord led to flawed creations—moths with wings too fragile to fly and scorpions with legs that collapsed under their weight.

The Night of the Eclipse brought their conflict to a head. Without moonlight to guide the moths or shadows for the scorpions to hide in, their work ground to a halt. The creatures they were building—a powerful hybrid with wings and armor—lay incomplete in the heart of the factory.

Realizing they were stronger together, the moths and scorpions devised a plan:
The Moths fluttered around the factory, scattering moonlit dust from their wings to create a glowing light.
The Scorpions used their pincers to construct a towering lens from desert crystals, amplifying the glow to illuminate their workspace.

With the factory alight, they worked side by side for the first time. The moths wove delicate details into the hybrid’s wings while the scorpions strengthened its frame with a protective exoskeleton. When the eclipse ended, the first Luminous Sentinel emerged, a creature of stunning beauty and unyielding strength—a true blend of their talents.

From that day on, the Nyxian Factory became a beacon of harmony. The moths and scorpions learned to embrace their differences, realizing that only together could they create creatures worthy of the night.

Pingipung Podcast 102: MAUGLI - Freund der Sonne

In 2019 I was given the chance to play a full 360 degree sound system in Thailand, the stage was built by the Polygon team and they are most certainly at the fore front of immersive sound. Given this opportunity I decided to create an ambient stereo track to which i would mix to the back left and right of the stage, my goal was to fool listeners into potentially thinking a boat drove by or someone was riding a horse at the festival. (lol). I don't think anyone heard a peep with all the other sounds and distractions going on but I got to create something which has always fascinated me.

With that being said I opened the project and polished it off to create this first instalment, I tried to create as many environments as i could within the space of about 30 minutes so it really takes you on a journey from the ocean spray to the busy streets of New York. I guess this could be used in tv, film, musical sampling or even meditation perhaps? I don't know, but i hope you can find a creative use for it and if you do please share it with me :) Hummmmmmmmmm.....

Ritual music for people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

As one of the founders of Voodoohop, Thomash has sparked innovation on the electronic scene. Through his multidisciplinary art collective he has caused great impact on the Brazilian underground music scene which over the years caused waves internationally. South american elements mixed with contemporary electronica are the essence of his work creating the feeling of being in a comfortable psychedelic dream.

Guided by a hedonistic attitude that stimulates individual and joint freedom of expression, his sound is a clever and unpretentious mix that combines slow melodic techno, krautrock, synthesizer layers, psychedelia, dub and ritualistic tropical rhythms.

Born in Germany, he lived in Brazil for 10 years which allowed him to absorb the exotic multicultural latin roots and combine them with the precision and minimalism of german electronic music.

Curiously, he also has a degree in artificial intelligence, which allows Thomash to create
a unique style full of oddly spaced percussion and detuned synthesizers working within their own logic, as if in a machine-learning universe.

Using his programming skills he developed tools that allow him to harmonically mix acoustic samples with live synthesizers and drum sequencers resulting in a unique hybrid between live and dj set that is always pulsing, changing and evolving.

Previous gigs include tours to Japan, South America, the USA, Canada and festivals such as  Sónar São Paulo, Melt! and Fusion, Lethargy and Wiener Festwochen..
