Creation sings in Psalm 19, battle prayers rise in Psalm 20, and royal joy and pain converge in Psalms 21–22. From the quiet comfort of “The Lord is my shepherd” through lifted gates, tested hearts, thunder on the waters, and joy after mourning, this volume lives in the tension between danger and the refuge of a God who answers. The lyrics paraphrase the psalms closely, but each track is shaped as a modern, singable song.
