2022 RESIDENT OF DATA TRANSMISSION RADIO SHOW 

Who's Who AKA Cyrnos is an eclectic DJ who was born in Corsica and has since been moving around the world.

Cyrnos is the meaning of Corsica in ancient Greek. This name was given by the Cretan 2500 before JC, meaning ‘The eye of the Mediterranean Sea’. Diego AKA Cyrnos, as he is known as since 2019, makes a musical turn with a new musical concept, directed towards a concept of the underground 90s mixed with the deep house of the moment.

After having taken an intensive DJ course in Barcelona, he eventually became a professional DJ and later also a booker for several big names in the international underground stage. He has played around the world and built a great collaboration by creating a friendly & family ritual with numerous personalities of the international nightlife and other artists’ friends including names such as Yousef (UK) , Michael Calfan (FR) ,Ramiro Lopez (SP) , Segg(FR) , Ricky Castelli & Mike Dem (IT), and different personalities from the international music industry .

Influenced by Detroit techno & Chicago house since a young age, it becomes immersed in this music right away. Known as Matteo Arcucci he was a resident DJ of different clubs in Switzerland between 2013 and 2015, Stairs in Zurich (2016), and Lima in Zurich (2018). He has played in many other international clubs such as Amnesia and Tunell in Milan, and different locations of Italy. Further events include Privat Rec Rooftop and different parties in New York, Halloween Carnival in Los Angeles. He also produced different EP on Groovalicious Records and several more collaborations with other artists for different projects with the Flowerbirds productions. In 2019 he played at Individual Night in Milano together with Sonny Fodera & Dom Dolla.

Simply because of the authenticity of his work he has received admiration by his friends in the night industry around the world. He plays the card of being different and remains very autonomous by different known groups.

'Music was my first love', that's definitely true for me. Long before I discovered the beauty of female attraction, arts and good food, I perceived the emotional excitement of good music. I grew up with progressive rock in the 70s with the likes of Pink Floyd, Genesis and Supertramp. Beginning of the 80s Philly Sound brought me to Soul and Funk. The Street Sounds Collection opened my mind for Disco Music and House. Inspired by the beatmixing Mixtapes of the DMC (Disco Mix Club) in the early 80s I decided to start a DJ career, which I unfortunately was forced to stop after a few weeks. I had my first residency in the club ‘Veritas’ in Neuss for owner Dieter Scharper. They did not understand the concept of beatmixing at those days and refused to provide Technics 1200 or Thorens turntables. Instead, they forced me to play with Panasonic turntables without a pitch option, degraded me to a jukebox. I kicked the job after three weeks and focused on a business career.

In 2005, after years of inspiring party events on Ibiza, me and my wife created the party circle 'privatemonkey.com' to bring a high level electronic and 'non posh' party to Düsseldorf. Being a booker for this event for more than a decade developed my music expertise and brought me back to the place behind the Mixer in 2015, when a friend asked me to perform for his new party event.

Since then, I developed my DJ skills and performed for several well known local events including Club102, Silq, PrivateMonkey, Oh Baby Anna, Meshugge Bar, La Rocca, Schwarz and many more.

I am usually booked to play melodic deephouse and techno sounds around 120-125 bpm, but I feel very comfortable playing 125-130 bpm peak time techno or a nice chillout afternoon as well.
