A brief review of a memorable life with ups and downs, sad but also magnificent moments.

A Memorable Life

This is one of the battle tracks of the yet unreleased game Anthador.
After I had finished the first attempt of this composition there was something missing. A lack of energy, character and vitality. So I decided to rework the composition and add another instrument that I'm quite familiar with from the past years as a singer-songwriter and frontman of my band: my voice.

Hallo Freunde! Wie die Zeit vergeht! Gerade noch ist man mit der Weihnachts- und Silvesterplanung beschäftig und ehe man sich versieht ist es schonwieder Mitte Februar und in den Supermärkten häufen sich die Sichtungen übermotivierter Schoko-Osterhasen. Höchste Zeit also, dass wir es den Osterhasen gleichtun und unseren Winterschlaf hinter uns lassen. Zum Schlafen haben wir auf der Euderion sowieso keine Zeit, denn in diesem neuen Jahr 2023 gibt es viel zu tun und demnach auch vieles in unseren Podcasts zu besprechen.  Natürlich erfahrt ihr in unserer neuen Folge alles über unsere Neuhjahrsvorsätze, den Stand unseres aktuellen Fanfilms sowie über einige neue Projekte die sich langsam aber sicher am Horizont abzeichnen.  

Zum Start dieses Podcastjahres freut es uns zudem ungemein, dass wir die Möglichkeit hatten mit Reinhard Prahl, seines Zeichens Autor, Journalist und Fandomgröße, über seinen persönlichen Werdegang und seine Arbeit sprechen zu können. Besonderes Augenmerk galt natürlich der Arbeit am kürzlich erschienenen dritten Teil der Star Trek Chronik. Gemeinsam mit den, im Fandom ebenso bekannten Autoren Thorsten Walch und Björn Sülter, geben die Star Trek Chroniken tiefe Einblicke in die jeweiligen Star Trek Serien. Dabei gehen die Bücher in ihrer Tiefe weit über einfache Episodenbesprechungen hinaus. Neben Hintergrundinformationen zu den Entstehungsgeschichten der einzelnen Serien kommen in persönlichen Interviews auch immer wieder Fans, Wegbegleiter und Personen zu Wort, welche hinter den Kulissen für die Produktion mitverantwortlich gewesen waren. Im aktuellen dritten und längsten Teil der Star Trek Chronik, dreht sich nun alles um Star Trek – The next Generation.
In einem sehr persönlichen Gespräch konnten wir mit Reinhard über die Hintergründe der Buchreihe sowie über Entstehungsgeschichte, Recherche und Schreibarbeit sprechen. Natürlich haben wir auch immer wieder über TNG selbst und den Einfluss der Serie auf uns und unser Fanleben sprechen können. Kommt nun also mit auf eine spannende Reise in unser ganz persönliches „Gestern, Heute und Morgen“ von uns und Star Trek und erfahrt warum ihr als Trekkie die Star Trek Chronik unbedingt gelesen haben solltet!

We Invent the Real

~In The Arms Of Gloria~

Story:

Elarion follows the call of adventure to save his village from a dark manace that may only be overcome with the help of a magical artefact. He leaves his beloved wife Kira and travels through deep forests, dreadful swamps and dark mountains until he reaches a mysterious cave.

Seemingly uninhabited he soon faces the creatures of the underground, some curious, some frightened, some threatening. The artefact is guarded by sentinals who are defending it with their lives. Elarion is able to steal it and is chased constantly throughout the whole kingdom. But he finally reaches the village and defeats the ominous threat.

Music:

In this purely orchestral track I tried my best to establish a memorable theme that I developed throughout the piece. It starts sad and melancholic, then bold for the adventure part. In the cave it is reharmonized in a dark and suspenseful manner.

After an action sequence, further variations follow, orchestrated with choir und brass. Again, an adventurous and heroic part with trumpet and horns is next. After a softer part with strings and woodwinds, the choir comes in and leads into a climactic finale with the theme played by strings in octaves.
