Pinsen 2021 blev ikke så mindeværdig som pinsen 2018, da et nederlag i Parken gjorde, at sejren over AGF i sidste runde ikke kunne ændre på, at FC Midtjylland endte på en skuffende 2. plads i sæsonen 2020/21.

I denne udsendelse diskuterer vi hvad der gik galt i et forår, hvor drømme om the Double blev vekslet til dobbelt skuffelse over pokal-exit og sølvmedaljer.

Vi gør også status over lejeland, inden vi laver en række kåringer ovenpå sæsonen.

Prof. Edward Feser is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Pasadena City College, and has also been a Visiting Assistant Professor at Loyola Marymount University. He received a PhD in philosophy from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is the author of books including Philosophy of Mind (A Beginner's Guide), The Last Superstition: A Refutation of the New Atheism, Aquinas (A Beginner's Guide), Scholastic Metaphysics: A Contemporary Introduction, NeoScholastic Essays, Five Proofs for the Existence of God, and By Man Shall His Blood Be Shed: A Catholic Defense of Capital Punishment. About the Speaker:
Fr. Dominic Legge, O.P., is the Director of the Thomistic Institute and Assistant Professor in Dogmatic Theology at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, a Ph.L. from the School of Philosophy of the Catholic University of America, and a doctorate in Sacred Theology from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. He entered the Order of Preachers in 2001, after having practiced constitutional law for several years as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice. He has also taught at The Catholic University of America Law School and at Providence College. He is the author of The Trinitarian Christology of St. Thomas Aquinas (Oxford University Press, 2016).

Whatever and ever, trio by analoc/K Joule/The Land [disquiet0474]

This is a submission for the Disquiet Junto 0474: Police Action

I built this track from the excellent collaboration of @daniel-diaz and @forcedamage from Junto 0473. Respect.

Fifths Damage (https://soundcloud.com/daniel-diaz/fifths-damage-21012021-disquiet0473) had a very strong western feel, and also a feeling of being balanced between sentiment and action. We are each trapped in a dynamic equilibrium that gets us through the day, but the ground is shifting and the system is out of balance. The Ostrich is one of the last remaining flightless birds; surely that is not our fate? Make a plan.

I added a rhythm track to what I received, starting with the output form the Logic Drummer in hip-hop mode and then editing the results until they locked to the groove that was there, choosing a nice acoustic kit emulation, and running the track through a Fatso EL7X. Other tools used included a coles 4038, an iphone, Phil Moore's excellent Retro PowerStrip, an A&H board, Valhalla plugins, and Ozone for a quick and dirty mastering pass.

The lyrics came from the feeling above, and from fighting off stockholm syndrome from all the decades since Reagan and Thatcher.

The samples are from the 'crying indian' public service announcement of the last century, and the extinction rebellion of this century.
