I was terrified that I wouldn’t be able to listen to this song one day; that’s why we have been making revisions over and over again. Not for anyone else, for me to listen to this song properly now, to keep to love this song.

Chasing me、初リリースは2019年。もうこれ以上ないというくらいの、完成度を求めた曲。それでも、長い時間をかけて塗り替えられてゆく感覚と感性が、次第にこの曲と自分を離してゆく。いつの日か、自分がこの曲を聴けなくなる日がくるんじゃないかと、それが本当に怖かった。だから僕は、何度も何度も改訂を重ねてしまう。誰のためでもなく、今の自分がこの曲をちゃんと聴くために。

The human heart is shaped by music. We seek ourselves in music, and our hearts have grown with music by trying to become one.
Every song on the album “arbores” seemed to symbolize and abstract this song repeatedly, and it’s circling around it. As the story is told over and over with various sounds and music, something never changing is into relief. Maybe that’s what gave “Rejoin” and this album its reality.

人の心は、音楽で形作られている。僕たちは、音楽の中に自分を探し、音楽とひとつになろうとすることで、音楽とともに成長してきた。
アルバム『arbores』の全曲は、それぞれがこの曲の象徴と抽象を繰り返しながら、その周囲を旋回してゆくようだった。さまざまな音で、音楽で繰り返し語られる中で、なにか不変のものが浮き彫りになってゆく。それがRejoinに、このアルバムに実態を与えているのかもしれない。

Chasing me. The first release was in 2019. A song I demanded perfection that couldn’t be better. Nevertheless, my senses and sensibilities, which have been repainted over a long period, gradually separate me from this song. I was terrified that I wouldn’t be able to listen to this song one day; that’s why we have been making revisions over and over again. Not for anyone else, for me to listen to this song properly now, to keep to love this song.

Chasing me、初リリースは2019年。もうこれ以上ないというくらいの、完成度を求めた曲。それでも、長い時間をかけて塗り替えられてゆく感覚と感性が、次第にこの曲と自分を離してゆく。いつの日か、自分がこの曲を聴けなくなる日がくるんじゃないかと、それが本当に怖かった。だから僕は、何度も何度も改訂を重ねてしまう。誰のためでもなく、今の自分がこの曲をちゃんと聴くために。

Some things come and go between us that we can’t talk about; that’s why what we suddenly see or hear in this mundane daily life appeals to us as if it’s trying to point out something that can never be expressed.
