Before launching his solo project, Zolton spent many years as the guitarist and vocalist for Sydney bands, Lucid and Jetstream. After Jetstream disbanded, Zolton moved to New York where he gave music away and focused on a new career running a digital media company. During that time, he launched the music and culture website, Lost At E Minor, which was a vehicle through which to promote and encourage the talent of some Australia’s hottest emerging creatives.

At the end of 2016, Zolton moved back to Sydney and was re-invigorated to get back into creating music again. He began work on a new musical project that incorporated big 80s-styled synths, beats, and melodic hooks.

Stainless steel drums melt with the thick, electric wind, deep where the bass vibrations belong. Industrial, Electronic, Techno, Ambient music.

Simpler Times is a british-italian duo, spawning from a small town of the north of Italy up to the british Manchester midlands, through the imperial Vienna and the rebel Barcelona. From the ashes of previous musical projects, after having fiddled with many different genres, Timothy (voice) and Matteo (music) found their creative spot in Synthwave, Outrun and Vaporwave. Worshipping artists like Roxy Music and Pet Shop Boys, Gunship and The Midnight, they couldn't end up in any place but this. Simpler Times paint on a wave-shaped canvas the sound of nostalgia, future and dystopia. Strongly influenced by movies like Blade Runner and Asimov's books, the duo recreates those atmospheres through their dark, impactful sound. Currently at their beginnings, 'Replicants EP' is the beginning of their journey.
