For the 13th episode of the Amsterdam Techno Sessions we invited the STRGHT label honcho Thomas Hoffknecht!

 Thomas Hoffknecht is a DJ and producer based in Hamburg, Germany. Despite his European roots, you can clearly perceive the Detroit Techno influence on his productions and his powerful hybrid DJ sets! 

On his hybrid sets, he elegantly combines sequenced samples from the Pioneer Toraiz SP-16 with the most powerful beats using 4 CDJS, therefore creating unique and magical sets!
As a producer, he released on top labels like Drumcode, Micro.fon, Sleaze Records, OFF Recordings, DISTRICT4,  Codex Recordings, nonlinear systems and his Strght label and collaborated with artists as André Kronert , Alex Bau, Brian Sanhaji, Dj Emerson,  Jeroen Search, Mark Broom, Truncate, Thomas Schumacher to name a few…

Este reputado dj gallego lleva mas de 20 años mezclando sonidos de manera energica y apasionada. Un fijo durante muchos años en las mejores cabinas de su ciudad como Telefunken, O Portiño o House Cafe. Tambien ha realizado innumerables sesiones en clubs de la geografia española, llegando a cruzar el charco para dejar su sello en varias cabinas de NYC.

Estilo marcado y sonido muy personal, en sus sesiones se mueve entre los sonidos techno hasta ritmos mas deep utilizando en ocasiones el AKA Magic Finger donde el disco, funk o la electrónica mas ambiental hacen su aparición.  
Fue uno de los animadores de la escena electrónica de su ciudad entre los años 2000 y 2019 ya que junto a su compadre Diego Santos fundaron el colectivo THE SUGAR CO.  (1999) con el cual participaron activamente en innumerables eventos .

Si queremos definir a este artista en dos palabras frente a los platos serian elegancia y contundencia a partes iguales.
