@alexketzer’s newest EP »Fourth Face« follows up right in the footsteps of his previous installments, continuing the Cologne-based producer’s endeavour of blurring the line betwixt abstract-adjacent techno and moody atmospherics through intricate narratives and vibrant motion. 

As ever with Ketzer, sound design is a matter of vital balance and focussed devotion, and no effort is spared in the sculpting of this dialogue between complex, slo-evolving soundscapes and surgically executed rhythms that unfolds as one fascinating audio-origami of sorts. 

A most compelling listen, the EP »Fourth Face« finds Ketzer at his most inspired and mature yet, deploying all evidences throughout its course that it indeed is the ripe upshot to a musician’s long evolving, ever-nurturing journey.

Queer, Afro-Chicane, non-binary, artist Cristian Ybarra, aka BYZARRA, is a Minneapolis-based music selector, curator, and activist. Pulling inspiration from underground, queer DIY culture and radical melanated creatives, BYZARRA pays it forward by prioritizing safe and accessible spaces for often overlooked queer black and brown partygoers.

"I often lean into digging for deep, hypnotic, and euphoric sounds to convey whatever headspace I’m in, for this particular mix, I wanted to aim for something more gritty, bordering on sinister, but still sexy—drenched in familiar acid, bass, and heavy percussion. I wanted to curate something that would ensure the listener would leave the dance floor soaked in sweat but satisfied."

This month we invite Bitvert & IF from the We Are Not Content (WANC) collective onto the show.We Are Not Content is a group of artists, musicians, film makers and VJs based in London.

If is an Italian-born artist whose passion for music started at an early age.
Growing up, she studied classical music and played various instruments.
However, it wasn’t until the music influences of the 2000s rave scene that she
discovered her love for electronic music.
Fascinated by the raw energy and creativity of the rave scene, IF started
experimenting with different genres and sounds. Her unique music style is a
blend of rave sounds, IDM, industrial, and melancholic harmonies, which she
uses to create immersive and emotional tracks that transport listeners to
otherworldly realms. Through her music, IF aims to connect with listeners on a
deeper level and inspire them to explore their connection with their emotional
self.

Bitvert is an electronic music producer and live AV performer. Drawing on a DIY ethos of punk applied to nocturnal electronica and mechanical disruption,
Civil Serpent was born in the warehouse subculture of East London, drawing together evil strands of pounding 4/4 techno, darkened electronic textures and stupendous sub bass frequencies that pull the head of the listener straight to the floor.
