This week is a showcase of two seasoned artists in the community. On the first hour we’ve got Yuri Francisco - producer, promoter, multi-instrumentalist and head of Long Distance Runners. For the past decade, he has been dedicated to music production across a wide range of genres from techno to abstract hip-hop. His musical style is characterized by syncopated rhythms and compelling harmonies, consistently underlined by a dance floor-oriented attitude. His tracks have been released on Relux Underground (DK) and Soundasyoulike (MX). In 2015, Yuri founded Long Distance Runners, a series of intimate, monthly parties focused on showcasing the best underground selectors of electronic music in Toronto and Montreal.

On the second hour of minimal cuts and housey slappers we have the extraordinary Snad, a Philadelphian based in Berlin, who runs the label We R The Aliens with Jakob Seidensticker from Wareika, Boronas and Melina. He’s also got an upcoming release on Minibar with Jakob and Boronas under their Mothership alias, as well as Body Parts and Curtea Veche. I met Snad at Panorama Bar this summer during the Get Perlonized party this where we became fast friends and got to share a lot of awesome ideas about music, and not too long after upon looking his work I became infectious of his sound and artistic mindset.
