Art of the Possible: Towards an International Antifascist Feminist Front. Writer Angela Dimitrakaki and theorist Antonia Majaca were invited by visual artist Sanja Iveković to animate her Monument to Revolution installed in Athens in the context of Documenta 14. The original monument in Berlin (in memory of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht) was destroyed by the Nazis. The new monument is set symbolically in Athens where the struggle against capitalism is rife. Thirty international feminist contributors, individuals or collectives, were asked to send a short recording on fascism and the importance of feminist struggle against it. The multi-lingual collection of recordings is scored by sound sculptor AGF. Intro by Angela Dimitrakaki AGF (@poemproducer) assembled, scored, mixed the contributions and broadcasted on #Documenta14 #savvyfunk radio on 28 June 2017

Experimental sound platform VAMP Sonic returns to Threads Radio this month with a deep dive into legendary experimental American label Orange Milk Records. Keith Rankin (whose music alias is Giant Claw) has run the imprint for over a decade with his good friend Seth Graham out of Ohio USA, building a solid reputation as pushing the boundaries on a myriad of genres, from Glitch to 80s synthesis, pop to vaporwave, right down to prog rock. The excitement of trying new things is felt in each release (which are frequent, sometimes 2 or 3 in one month) in both the sound and accompanying visual artwork. 

The label has had a big influence in shaping the sound of VAMP Sonic since the project started in 2019. Tune in to hear founder Syd Carlisle delve into this iconic label, mixing together tracks from across the discography in unexpected ways and sharing some insights into the making of each release, and her choices of their selection in the mix. #SoundThatBites

It's been a hot second since we last had him on - and as a moment of behind the scenes, the last time he was on I made a bit of a tit of myself and asked him way too late or something and he couldn't exactly do the set he wanted and we went with the buzziest one...that's not really the finest Sunday dress but it got past the vicar. This time there's an extra special reason I didn't make an ass of myself and annoy my dear friend Stephen gently! Woodland Creatures is putting out his record For The Birds in May (this hasn't been social media announced so you heard it here) and thus this is the perfect time to get him back and doing the kind of set he heard in his mind and I always wanted. From downtempo to garage-y RnB doused skittering grooves and back again and out to IDM moments and back again from that it's really all over the spectrum just as we love it and just like his new record which - let me tell you -is so fucking great. I absolutely adore it, and him, and this mix and I am excited for you to experience all The Crane has in store for you from my good ship Woodland Creatures. First thing's first - this mix! Dig in!!
