Dysruptiv was a NZ Nu/Alt Metal band that recorded their debut album in 2004. They played the local scene in the early- mid 2000's in iconic venues in NZ Papa Jack's Voodoo Lounge.  Opening for bands such NZ metal acts like New Way Home, Blindspott and rock bands like Solstate. 

They were heavily influenced by  bands like Korn, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, POD, HedPe, Sevendust, RATM, Incubus, Soulfly, Slipknot, Tool and many more.

After the band disbanded, Julian and Down2one guitarist Oli formed a band with kiwi rock band Locate's Bassist Paul to form Sleep Severity,  along with his brother Aaron, that only lasted a short time due to personal issues that a number of the issues faced at the time. 

Julian went on to pursue a rap/hip hop career under the pseudonym Threat1 in the late 2000's.

Jacob left Dysruptiv and is still playing for Cherry Dolls in Australia.

Zorran Mendonsa later joined New Way Home and continued his music career as a producer, we owe a lot to Zorran for his producing skills and he also co-wrote a few of the final Dysruptiv songs.  

Nick and Aaron left the music industry  but the memories created live on here today. 
The band was formed by Julian Sammy, who wrote and co-wrote the debut album with guitarist and producer Zorran Mendonsa.
