Realitycheck : The Production Mix Pt. II

Vervemix 23 comes from Eora's @mijahealey - FBI radio presenter, DJ and Pure Space creative connoisseur alongside Andy Garvey, 

In this mix she takes us through an hour of post-punk ambience that seamlessly moves between industrial beats, warped breakbeat and experimental jazz before delving into world-music inspired electronica with persian melodic scales. 

There's a reason why she's known for pushing experimental music in Sydney's underground.

For the 2nd release of sdbx, we asked the local artist Kuprion to take control.
Konstantin is a friend and a very dedicated person when it comes to the club culture movement.
He’s as talented producer as a dj and delivered a fully well-orchestrated modern mix in the wave of the 1st opus.
Working at OYE record, he holds a bi-monthly residency with online radio station NEW NEW WORLD and has also been taking part in Martyn’s 3024 mentoring programs.

Very excited to welcome @aliciasteanson to the mix series. This ones been on the cards for a hot minute and it does not disappoint! Alicia is a producer & musician making deeply rhythmic, off-kilter dance music inspired by a love of club culture and the avante-garde. Residing in London, she cut her teeth working at Phonica and studying contemporary music, a combination that has seen her develop a passion for obscure and unusual soundscapes.  

Her sonic vision was realised recently on her mesmerising latest work  ‘Archangelic Collapse’ which dropped as part of the ‘In Clusters’ compilation on Mor Elian’s Fever AM no less. Five minutes of oblique sound design that we’ve come to expect from her radio mixes, readjusted for the dark corners of the club.
