The Devil walks with Him

When Wealthy Fell is a five piece Rock band formed in the Chicago suburbs consisting of drummer Jay Sharp, bassist Brian Boron, guitarists Jeff Kroc and Artan Sakiri, and finally vocalist Justin Konicek. When Wealthy Fell was formed in the winter of 2011 by Jeff, Artan, and Justin to continue their musical endeavors from being in bands together in the past. All three share a purpose of creating music that is real and true to them. Along the way they added Jay Sharp and Brian Boron to make it a complete five piece. 

The current discography of When Wealthy Fell consists of a 3 song digital Demo/EP called “The Giving”, and a five song debut EP called “The Taking”. Both efforts show case When Wealthy Fell’s unique songwriting style which stems by their influence of a mixture of bands like At the Drive-In, Thursday, Glassjaw, Dredg, and Deftones. Their sound has been characterized as “post-hardcore meets driving alternative rock”. 

During their start they mainly played house shows and local bars to get their music out to their friends and interested listeners. Currently they play the Chicago metropolitan area, and the surrounding suburbs including venues like Reggie’s Rock Club, Wise Fool’s Pub, and Q BAR. While playing shows in and around Chicago, When Wealthy Fell is also in the process of writing their first full length album due out early to mid 2014. They are still unsigned but do not show any intent of slowing their process of improving their own style of music with hard driven guitars, alembic bass riffs, concrete precision followed by rooted and punchy drum beats, and expressive, emotional lyrics. They are When Wealthy Fell.

A needles storm enveloping more distant minds’ sleep to fecundate the first handmaid’s ancient womb. A psychic and interrupted rock, a multitude of words weaved together with a string made of stones and
gems. Three eyes left is the dance before the word and the word before the colour, and now waits for the harvest refulgence to gather and offer the livid germ of its roots.
Dance incestuous sons! At the sickle light, find the chosen ones, show them what they will receive in gift.
A mass of mothers and sisters, of eyes consecrated to the black light of the oblivion, an ethereal mastodons and solar flares’ Danse Macabre.
A music box made of tendon and blood from which rolls itself the inception silence, the virgin the offers herself for another smile, the planet that fears a light that isn’t its own.
From the Stones’ Gardens up to the never born dreams, through the Third Stone, to the solitude of mud beyond the discriminating mind’s hell, Three eyes left is sludge and psych, now more than ever.
